Playboy Searching For Surfboarding Babes

Los Angeles, CA -- "Playboy" magazine now has a lot in common with the Beach Boys: Their interest in surfer girls.

The magazine is currently looking for women who are interested in being board -- as in "surfboard" to pose for an upcoming issue.

"Playboy" spokesman Bill Farley says the criteria is more stringent than merely looking good in a bathing suit.

It's crucial the surfer girls know how to tell a "macker" from a "point break" as well as a "tanker" from a "twinzer" because Farley wants to weed out women trying to jump start a modeling career by claiming to surf.

Wannabe models should apply by websurfing pictures of themselves in a two-piece bikini and a head and shoulders portrait to billw@playboy.com before September 14.
