New York, NY (WFN) -- Yoko Ono has settled her case against an ex-assistant who stole photos and other mementos from her and hubby John Lennon during the 1980s. One person she should thank for the victory over Fred Seaman is writer Robert Rosen, who was pals with Seaman during that period and testified on her behalf at the trial. Rosen says Seaman came to him right after Lennon was killed in 1980 claiming John wanted him to write a book about the "true story" of his life. Seaman asked Rosen to help and gave him videotapes and photos of the Lennons as well as John's personal diary -- which Rosen set out to transcribe in 16-hour-long, amphetamine-fueled sessions. Although Seaman later admitted he stole the diaries and was ordered to return all materials, Ono claimed he held on to some of the mementos. Now, she's settled with Seaman and will be getting them back. As for Rosen, he recently published a "re-creation" of the Lennon diaries in the book "Nowhere Man: The Final Days of John Lennon" (Quick American Archives).
