Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- The percussionist for the Los Angeles performance of the Broadway musical "The Lion King" has some pretty exotic instruments, including a set of goat toenails. Eric McKain says he uses the instrument -- which consists of 100 goat toenails strung along a large metal ring -- to create the sound of "carnivorous animals stalking each other." However, McKain admits he doesn't know the exact name of the instrument and calls it, simply, "the goat hooves." "The Lion King" runs through Dec. 31 at L.A.'s Pantages Theatre.
